Finding Spotify Settings on Web Player
In 2019, there was a user who asked on Community Spotify about accessing the settings page on web player and he said that he could not download the desktop app because he had a chromebook. And the response is that now there is no settings option in the web player and if your chromebook is Google Play Store enabled, you are able to download the Android version of the Spotify app from the Google Play Store. If you use the Spotify app on your Chromebook, you will be able to use Premium features like finding settings and downloading music for offline listening.
Well, from that explanation, we can understand that on Web Player, there is no Settings option. If you want to access Settings, you have to access Spotify from apps.
The Way to Access the Spotify Web Player
Spotify can be accessed through mobile apps, desktop apps, and web player. If you want to access it through a web player, you can do that in any modern browser. The thing that you have to do to access Spotify web player is to access open.spotify.com. You can access it on your Firefox, Chrome, Safari or another browser. However, you have to make sure that you have a Spotify account and if you do not have it, you can create it first.
Let’s say that you are not signed in or you do not have an account yet. If so, you will see a preview of the web player, but you actually cannot play music.
So, if you have an account, you have to log in to Spotify by clicking on the Login button which can be found at the top right of the window. However, if you are new to Spotify which means that you do not have a Spotify account, you have to create an account by clicking on the Sign Up button.
