What Is Dead Man’s Switch?

Dead Mans Switch DBD (Dead by Daylight)

Dead Man’s Switch is one of the teachable perks that can be unlocked for all characters from level 35. This perk is unique to The Deathslinger that is a killer introduced in the Chapter XV: Chains of Hate on March 10, 2020.

Dead Man’s Switch is a common feature that is found on heavy machinery in which a switch should be held continuously, so that a machine will keep operating. As long as any one of them decides to stop repairing during the activation window, Dead Man’s Switch perk works to block Generators that are repaired by multiple Survivors,

How Does Dead Man’s Switch Work?

When using this teachable perk, you will be obsessed with one survivor. Once you hook the Obsession, the Dead Man’s Switch will activate for the next 35, 40 or 45 seconds. While you activate this perk, any survivor stopping to  repair a Generator before this perk is fully repaired will cause the Entity to block the generator until the perk’s effect ends.

Furthermore, the generators that are affected will be highlighted by a white Aura. So, you can only be obsessed with one Survive at a time. For more information, the Dead Man’s Switch may be unlocked in The Deathslinger’s Bloodweb at level 35 or in the Shrine of Secrets.
