How to Find Live Videos on Instagram

Instagram is one of the most popular social media in the world. On this platform, you are able to find and watch live videos of the users that you are following. It is able for you to see the users you follow who are live streaming at the top of your Instagram feed. When a user that you are following goes live on Instagram, their profile picture will be marked as LIVE. If you are interested in watching their live, all that you have to do is to tap on their profile picture.

As an Instagram user you may get bored by watching the contents from the same users that you are following again and again. In this case, you may want to watch random live streams. For those who have this in mind, unfortunately, there is no way for you to see them at the top of your feed. The main reason is because it is only possible for you to see the live videos of the users that you are following at the top of your feed.

How to Find Live Videos on Instagram

Then, what should you do if you want to find live videos on Instagram? In order to watch the live streams of global users, it will be needed for you to watch an IGTV video and tap on Browse IGTV. After tapping on Browse IGTV, you will be able to see random lives on this platform. If you want to see more live videos, you can just tap on See All and by doing so you will be able to see a grid list of them. If you want to find an IGTV video, all that you have to do is to look for the IGTV hashtag. To be able to view it, just tap on any video with the IGTV icon. Make sure to not view a non-IGTV video because there is no way for you to be able to browse IGTV. Apparently, there is a chance for these live videos to not always show up. If this happens, do not get surprised as it is because there are not many people who are live streaming on Instagram. If it is the case, just do something for a while and then come back again a few hours later.

Once again, it is really easy to find live video on Instagram. There are a total of six steps to be able to do that. All these steps include:

    1. The first thing that you need to do is to look for IGTV. It can be done by opening the app called Instagram as the first step. When it opens, log in to your account if you have not already. After logging in to your Instagram account, you will be able to see several icons on the bottom navigation bar. These icons include a home icon, a search icon, a plus icon, and so on. Upon seeing these icons, please tap on the search icon that is located on the bottom navigation bar. By doing so, you will be taken to the explore page. When you are on the explore page, you will be able to see a search bar. Using the search bar, please look for IGTV. The next thing that you have to do is to tap on Tags to be able to see only the hashtag search results. If you want to see the posts that have the IGTV hashtag, just tap on the IGTV hashtag (#igtv).
    2. After tapping on the IGTV hashtag, you will be able to see a grid list of posts with the IGTV hashtag. Now, it is time for you to find an IGTV video. You can tell if one is an IGTV video if you see the IGTV icon. Upon finding one, tap on it. Once again, you are not suggested to view a non-IGTV video as you will not be able to browse IGTV videos.
    3. After tapping an IGTV video, it will expand. If the video that you just tapped is considered as an IGTV video, you will be able to see a Watch IGTV video option. On the other hand, if it is not an IGTV video, the Watch IGTV option will be nowhere to be found. If it is the case, then you can expand the video again. In order to do so, all that you have to do is to tap on Watch IGTV video so that you will be able to watch the video on fullscreen.
    4. After tapping on the Watch IGTV video, the video will expand. Now, you can watch the video on fullscreen. A Browse IGTV option will be able to be seen on the bottom right corner of the video. If you want to browse IGTV, just tap on Browse IGTV. Just like that you will be able to see random live videos or live streams on Instagram.
    5. After tapping on Browse IGTV, you will be taken to the IGTV page. On this page, you will be able to see a few headers. These include Live Now and Videos For You. There are some recommended IGTV videos for you under the Videos For You header. If you are looking for the random live videos on this platform, you can check them under the Live Now header. Not only that, there is also a See All option that is located next to it. Feel free to tap on this option if you want to see all live videos on Instagram. It is worth noting that the Live Now section might not appear all the time.
    6. After tapping on See All, you will be able to see a grid list of random live videos on Instagram. Usually, the ones located above are the ones with the most views. Basically, the most popular lives are always on the top. If you want to watch it, you can just tap on a live video that you want to watch.
