Review of Sofitel Bora Bora Private Island Resort
Here are some reviews about Sofitel Bora Bora Private Island Resort:
By Ohale – This is a nice private island with lush gardens, amazing scenery and the perfect setting for a romantic vacation. The staff are very friendly and eager to please to make sure you have the perfect experience. Also, the room was really clean and beautifully decorated in traditional polynesian style. The management was welcoming, adding personal touches to make sure our stay was spectacular.
By DonTravlr – This is a beautiful resort in one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world. If you want to relax and enjoy snorkeling in the beautiful coral gardens surrounding the resort, this might be the place for you. Some resorts around Bora Bora give constant activities like Jet Skiing and Para Sailing etc. The staff is very friendly and they make an effort to remember you. The food at breakfast and lunch was great, however dinner not so much. Aside from that, the hotel does provide a free boat shuttle to an area of Bora Bora where there are many restaurants so you are not stuck. Also, the bar menu is available in the bar for dinner.
By Lucia – The welcome was great, with music and beautiful views. The Staff was really friendly and helpful. The room in the tree house was very perfect. We had our private cabin. It was extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped, water, beer, coffee, tea, and soft drink included. The terrace was marvelous with a stunning view. The bathroom was very good too. The housekeeping was everyday and very perfect. This resort is on a private island with an amazing viewpoint, with lots of possibilities to sit and enjoy the stunning view on the ocean, Bora Bora island, Lagoons. The Boat can bring you to the main island and back with no charge. Of course here you have the possibility to swim, but no breathtaking place with white sand and palm trees. However, you are able to visit Matira beach. From the airport it is about 40 minutes with a boat. I really recommend this hotel for your holiday in paradise.
By Mandaplease – We celebrated our honeymoon in Bora Bora and Moorea. We came to the Sofitel after the heavy monsoon-like rain which was over Moorea/French Polynesia. We were ready for a change of scenery and some sun. The staff of Sofitel private island treated us like royalty as soon as we arrived. They greet us with music, coconut drinks, and a site tour. The grounds are beautiful, between the bungalows, the bar, the hilltop view, and the clear blue water. For breakfast, we only ate at the restaurant. We did not really like the preset dinner menus and also wanted a bit more flexibility with pricing and meal options. We ate at the bar. The food was very good. Also, the drinks there were so good. At check in, they gave us a free cocktail which was an exciting surprise. They came by our bungalows with refill waters frequently. They delivered small desserts every night that was a nice added touch.
Snorkeling there was incredible. You were able to snorkel right by your bungalows and see so much sea life: octopus, fish, crabs, sharks, etc. Or you were able to swim a short distance to the Aquarium that was beautiful and had so many fish. The boat shuttle to the main island runs nice frequently, so we did not have any issues there. We arranged our dinner reservations with the boat schedule. We loved the seclusion and privacy of this private island resort. There are no kids running around, not overly crowded with people. It felt like it belonged to us.
By HappyTraveler – Everything exceeded our expectations at this Sofitel Bora Bora Private Island. We were met with coconut drinks, flowers and music. The room was huge and clean. The unlimited drinks in the mini bar, the many gifts and treats that were left really made it an unforgettable stay. The views were unmatched. It is really beautiful and perfect. You were able to stay the entire time on the island and use the included kayaks or paddle boards to go around to the Coral Gardens easily. We saw the sharks, sting rays and even eels. The staff at the hotel is as kind as everyone says. They were quick to help with any need. Also, they sang to us for our wedding anniversary and even brought us a cake. You would not need to go anywhere else as the food is very delicious. Huge thanks to Haka and Kiana who went out of their way to make our stay extra special.
It is very easy to access the main island with the free shuttle. They anticipate other Sofitel will not be opened until late 2020. However you still get in and out at that hotel pier. The water is crystal-clear and blue, the view of the mountain is very amazing. The decks had many rooms with comfortable chairs to sit in and relax.
