Jpay offers a virtual way to talk face to face with your inmate from your place using your personal computer. This feature is known as a Video Visit or a Video Visitation. If you are interested in using this feature, this post unveils the information about it, including about the cost and the rules.

Requirements of Video Visitations

There are a few requirements to be eligible for a video visitation, including:

- You must be included in the approved visitor list of an inmate.
- You must have a JPay account.
- You must have internet access.
- You must have a personal computer that includes speakers, microphone, and a webcam.

Cost and Way to Purchase a Video Visitation

The Video Visitation costs $9.95. If you want to purchase a Video Visitation, you will need to have a JPay.com account and have a Visa or MasterCard on file.

Tips to Make the Video Visitation Session Successful

1. Make your inmate know about the schedule.
2. Make sure you are logged in to your JPay account.
3. Make sure your computer, your microphone, and some other ones are ready.

Rules of Video Visitations

There are some rules of Video Visitations that are applied for both offenders/residents and visitors. Each correctional department might have its own rules. Way to Schedule a Video Visitation

1. In order to schedule a video visitation, the first thing that you have to do is to go to the website named JPay.com.
2. When you are there, find the Navigation menu and then click Video Visitation.
3. The next step is to click Schedule New Visit.
4. On the Schedule Visit page, there is the Video Visitation Terms of Use. Before using this feature, you are highly recommended to read it.
5. Once you are done reading the Terms of Use, it is time for you to click Continue.
6. In the Choose Date box, feel free to choose the day that you want to use for a video visitation. After making a decision, please click Continue.
7. After that, you will need to choose the time for your video hesitation. It is in the Choose Time list. Then, click Continue and then click Continue again.
8. In the Select card list, it is needed for you to choose the card that you want to use. After deciding which card to use, do not forget to enter the validation code for the card.
9. In the Payment Verification box, you must make sure that the information that is given is all correct before clicking Continue.
10. In the end, your video visit is added to your calendar and you will be able to see it on the Video Visit page.

Way to Edit a Video Visitation

It is possible for you to change the video visitation time or date if you want. You can just follow these followings to do so:

1. If you want to edit a video visitation, the first thing that should be done is to go to the Video Visits page.
2. Then, find the Video Visit box that you want to edit and then click Edit.
3. Doing so will take you through the process of scheduling a video visitation.

Way to Delete a Video Visitation

If for any reason you want to delete a video visitation, apparently, you can do it. Just like editing a video visitation, you will have to go to the Video Visits page. The second step is to find the Video Visit box that you want to delete. Once you have found the one, all that should be done is to click Delete and then click OK in the pop-up window.
