If your payment is successful, you’ll receive the balance, and you can use it for video visitation.

- Log into your Getting Out account.
- On your profile, you can click on “Contacts.”
- Then, start to find an inmate you’d like and select them.
- On the inmate’s profile, you can click “Schedule Visit.”
- On the following page, you can choose either an at-home visit or an on-site visit.
- Make sure to select the date and time.
After the video visit is conducted, the inmate will automatically be added to your contacts.

Visits
You can take a video chat conversation either using your personal computer at home, in the facility lobby, or now via the Visit Now Android app.
To conduct a video visit with your loved one in prison, you have to set it up by making a schedule first. After that, you have to wait for them to confirm. If the inmate accepts it, you can log into your Getting Out account to start a video visit.
Phone Calls
To receive a call from an inmate, you can select at least one of the three types of phone calls, including:
- Prepaid: If you select this, you can add funds into the inmate account or you can pay upfront by making a deposit to your account first, and the inmate can still call you until the fund runs out.
- Quick Connect: This option allows you to pay a call when the inmate calls you. And you can pay for Quick Connect with your credit card.
- Collect Calls: With this option, you can accept and quickly pay for calls from inmates. If you accept a collect call from an inmate, all the calling charges will be filed with your landline phone account.
Messages and Photos
Getting Out also eases communication between inmates and their families or friends through messaging services. There are two types of messages you can send, including:
- Written Messages: It’s just text messages as usual, but every message you send is monitored by a secure internal messaging system. So, the inmate will receive the messages you sent if they have been approved by the facility.
- Voicemail Messages: You can also leave voicemail messages for your loved one, so you can send them anytime.
Aside from two types of messages, photo sharing can also be conducted on Getting Out. With this service, you can actually share photos with inmates only using the Getting Out app. Sure, every photo you send is subject to the facility’s rules and regulations.
It’s important to note that you cannot submit a refund for photos that are rejected by the facility.
