Finding Assignments on Raz Kids Easily
As explained on the Raz Kids website, if you are a student who uses Raz Kids as your learning platform, you are able to access your assignments in the My Assignments area on Kids A-Z.

- The first thing that you have to do is to login to your account on Raz Kids. Logging in can be done by entering the username of your teacher and then clicking on the Go button. After that, you have to find your name and click on it and then you have to enter the password and click on the Go button.
- Then, you will be taken to the student portal where you are able to see how many books that you have listened and read and also how many quizzes that you have completed.
- You have to scroll down and then you will see your reading assignments under Your Recent Assignments.
- You can click on that Your Reading Assignments and you will be taken to a page where it informs how many assignments that you have.
- Scroll down a little bit and then you can see the title of the reading assignments that you have to complete.
- So, now you can try to complete your assignments. You can listen to the book by pressing the headphone icon and you can read the book by pressing the book icon.
- If you find that there is a check mark on the headphone icon, book icon, or question mark or even in all of the options, it means that you have completed all of the activities.
When you are reading the book, you are able to open the next page of the book by pressing the Next button at the right side of the book. If you want to go to the previous page of the book, you can press the Back button which can be found at the left side of the book.
When you are reading a book and then you find a word that you are not sure what it is, you are able to click on that word. Then, you will see that there are some options. You can click on the Hear Word to know how to pronounce that word. You can choose Highlight if you think that you need to highlight that word. And, you can click on the Add to Word Journal if you want to add that word to word journal.
Then, you may be required to record your reading, but you do not know how to record your reading since you are a new user. You are able to read the steps to record your reading on Raz Kids below.
How to Record Your Reading on Raz Kids
On Raz Kids, you are able to record your reading and you can do that by following the steps below.

- First, you must log in to your account on Raz Kids by firstly opening Raz-Kids. Then, you must enter the username of your teacher and then find your name and then click on it. Now, you must enter your password and then hit the Go button.
- After logging in, you must click on the Reading Room in the home page.
- Now, you can choose a book that you want to read.
- When you are choosing your book, you must choose the book icon not the headphone icon. If you choose the headphone icon, the book will be read for you.
- In this step, you must click on the triangle icon or arrow icon which can be found at the top of the screen to open the tools menu.
- After the tools menu is opened, then you must click on the microphone icon. After you click on it, there will be three options including Play button, Starting New Recording button and the Start Recording button.
- To start recording your reading, the thing that you must do is to click on the Start Recording button where it is a circle icon. Note that it has the ability to record for up to 15 minutes and the recording will stop automatically at 15 minutes. Now, you are able to start recording your reading.
- What to do to stop recording? You must click on the Stop button where it is in a square icon. When you are recording, note that the Start Recording button will change into a pause button.
- If you have recorded your reading but then you want to listen to your recording first before you send it to your teacher, you are able to press the Play button.
- After you have finished, then you are able to click Done at the end of the book to send the recording to the teacher. You need to know that a recording must be at least 30 seconds long so that it can appear in the In Basket of your teacher and for the student to earn stars.
Before you record your reading, you need to make sure that you permit your microphone to be used. If an iPad is used by you, the microphone may already be at the top of the screen. After listening to the story, read the story and record yourself when you are reading aloud, you have to take the quiz to test your comprehension of what you have read.
