Here are some tips for teacher of using Raz Kids:
-
- To keep your students fun, you can play Raz-Plus Sings on an interactive whiteboard during class transitions. Before the song is complete, you can also challenge the students to be cleaned up and in their seats or in line.
- To make it easier for you to know each level of your students, you can create folders for each level that is labeled with a large letter/color according to the level. You can also put worksheets for books at that level into each folder for independent student access.
- Make sure to protect your student’s privacy and display only the first letter of a student’s last name and remember to check the box on your Roster.
- You can also add fun to Raz-Plus assignments by making treasure hunts for each level, for instance, find two things that you have to make salsa.
- Playing a simple game by writing student’s names on plastic cups. After that, you can stack them on top of the computer in the classroom. The student whose cup is on top is ‘up’ at the computer. Your students will be able to set a time for a teacher-designated time and then move their cup to the bottom of the stack, so the next student will be able to take their turn.
