In addition to purchasing commissary items through a wall-mounted touch-screen device, Cidnet also provides an “Enquire App” that allows inmates to submit grievances, medical requests, or any other jail forms to custom groups of facility staff. The process can take only seconds because every device is a direct line for them to do these things.
There is no doubt that some facilities use the Cidnet system to make all of the manageable prison reports process faster. For further information about the Cidnet Enquire App, you can dive into our post below.
How Does the Cidnet Enquire App Work?
With Cidnet Enquire, every inmate’s form is easy to read and process. Instead of using paper, inmates can submit the form digitally on a touch-screen device. The Cidnet Enquire App is designed to save time and makes it easy to manage the forms electronically, so the process can really cut out the need for paper.
Cidnet Enquire also allows inmates and staff to message back and forth regarding an inmate’s grievance or request. Of course, it creates a more responsive approach to form submission. However, the staff actually has the right to either complete, deny, or respond to a form that an inmate has submitted.
How Do Inmates Submit a Request Form via the Cidnet Enquire App?
Since inmates can do all-in-one via Cidnet’s touch-screen device, it’s pretty straightforward to submit a grievance form and any requests. When submitting a form, the inmates will have to fill in the correct information regarding what happened since the form should be filled out properly. If not, the staff finds it difficult to respond.
The following is the information that an inmate should provide:
- Unit/Cell
- Date of the incident
- Were staff involved?
- Were there witnesses?
- Describe what happened or their request in their own words.
Once the inmates have completed the form, they can click “Submit Form.”
When the inmate has submitted a form, the Cidnet will immediately take and upload the submitter’s photo for Face ID verification. The inmate can also track the status of their request at all stages of the process.
How Do the Facility Staff Respond to the Inmate’s Submitted Form?
If there is a grievance or request form submitted by the inmate via the Cidnet Enquire App, the staff will quickly read and identify the form to be reviewed. From Cidnet’s system, the staff will access the “Apps” section and choose “Enquire.”
After the form is reviewed and the information is clear and accurate, the staff will respond by replying to the form. Then, they will click “Complete.” Of course, the staff will be on the way to help and overcome what happened or what requests were made by inmates, like medical requests.
Once the staff overcomes the inmate’s problem, they will then create the submitted form report. After it is made, the report can be downloaded into PDF format and exported, so the facility staff can keep a record of all form submissions.
Last but not least, the facility staff can also create a form or edit an existing one to make sure that the forms have been customized for the facility.
Why Do the Facility Staff Respond to the Inmate Form Quickly?
The form’s approval and response can only take a few seconds since it can be accepted on any device, even a smartphone. So, the staff will quickly receive a notification that informs them about a form that has been submitted by inmates.
Because these forms are tight, eligible, and do not need many to be collected or stored in the filling cabinet, the facility staff can actually use a specialized quick process screen to minimize the effort that goes into inmate form fulfillment.
