CSULB Okta Site Name

Okta is known as the former SSO provider of California State University Long Beach. In the past, those who wanted to log in to an online student portal for the university students could go to csulb.okta.com and would be taken to the Campus Single Sign On page. On the page, they would have to enter the CSULB email address and password before clicking the Sign In button to access the student center. Just like that, they could go to the student center to view their personal information.

Apparently, there were some restrictions on what would be accepted as the preferred name of the student. A nickname was not allowed. It also could not consist of foul or inappropriate language. Not only that, it was prohibited to use it for the purposes of misrepresentation.

Fortunately, everyone was able to change the preferred name in MyCSULB by choosing the Names link in the Personal Information section, choosing the Request Preferred Name Change button, entering the requested preferred first name, and choosing the Submit button.

CSULB Okta Site Name

Talking about Okta, it is worth noting that it is no longer supported, as displayed on the official website of California State University Long Beach. You are suggested to stop it and just go to https://sso.csulb.edu to get to the current SSO login page. Single Sign On or SSO is better compared to the rest because you are able to access a lot of campus computing services with just one sign on. Besides, you can also use one campus URL or web address to access participating services that are based on the web.

On the page, you will have to enter the email address, phone number, or Skype before clicking Next. After that, they will be required to enter the password, which is their Campus ID. Just like that they will be able to access a lot of services that are offered to the students in SSO, including:
