The time it takes for an inmate to receive money from you can vary. It depends on several factors. However, typically, it takes 1-3 business days for the money you send to be credited to your inmate’s account. The prison’s policies and procedures for processing transactions is one factor that can affect the processing time. The facility where your inmate is incarcerated may process transactions quickly. However, some other facilities may process transactions more slowly. Therefore, you should check with the facility where your inmate is incarcerated for processing times. Also, you should check the transaction status in your JailATM account. You can contact JailATM’s customer support team for assistance if you notice any delays or problems with your transactions.

Processing Delays
As we know that the processing time for transactions will vary by facility. Normally, it needs to take up to three business days for an inmate to receive the money. We highly suggest you wait for several days and check the transaction status on your account before contacting the JailATM’s customer support.
Incorrect Information
You probably entered incorrect information when sending the money. Therefore, your inmate does not receive the money. For this case, when sending the money, you must ensure that you enter information related to your inmate correctly. This may involve the inmate’s name or identification number. If you enter wrong information, then the transaction will not go through. Thus, it is very crucial for you to double-check the information before sending money to avoid any mistake.
Account Issues
The transaction may not go through if your inmate’s JailATM account has been closed or suspended. For this case, before sending the money, we highly suggest you check with the correctional facility to make sure that your inmate’s account is active and valid.
If you have already confirmed that the transaction went through, but your inmate did not receive the money, then you should contact the JailATM customer support team for assistance. After contacting them, then they will investigate the case and give you feedback on the status of the transaction. We highly suggest you keep a record of your transactions, including the transaction reference number, for future reference if a problem occurs. Aside from that, before making any assumptions, you need also to communicate with your incarcerated loved one and confirm that they received the money.
Getting a Refund If the Transaction Fails – Is It Possible?

If the transaction fails, for instance, due to technical problems or incorrect information, then you may be eligible for a refund. Keep in mind that the refund policy will vary depending on the correctional facility and the payment method you used.
Here are some things to consider when requesting a refund:
