According to the post on Simplicity PS community forum, prayer use depends on how good you are switching prayers and the gear you are using killing this boss. When utilizing any weapon besides Twisted bow or Scythe, you should use the defence prayers in the normal prayers.
In the post of this thread in Simplicity PS forum, he tried to showcase every attack Vorkath can spit to you and what prayers is needed to absorb most of the damage. The prayer used is Mage. Then, he calls it the green attack. It does nothing more than the Firewave. The prayer that is used is Mage as well.
Third, he calls it the purple attack. It does not do a lot of damage, however it takes off your prayer. So, you have to make sure that you got all your prayers on quick prayers. WIth this way, you are able to reset your prayer really fast without having to change to your prayer tab and click all different prayers. Fourth, he calls it the ranged attack. If you are an experienced PVM’er and you are able to switch your prayer fast, you can change to the protect for ranged to absorb the damage. Otherwise, just tank the hit and eat up.
Fifth, he calls it the double Firewave. When you find Vorkath sending two fireballs to you, just run a few steps and it will not hit you. Sixth, he calls it Acid Fire attack. When he spits out a lot of acid in the air, begin running like you are about to die. It is because if you will not do that, you will die.
According to Old School RuneScape, players should have quick-prayers set according to their combat style and weapon type to reactive prayers when deactivated by the pink dragonfire. Players need to be prepared to click at least two spaces away if Vorkath uses his insta kill vertical dragonfire lob.
That’s the information that we found about praying at Vorkath in OSRS, you are able to find more information about praying at Vorkath on the other websites such as OSRS Wiki, forums and many more.
What is Prayer?
Prayer in OSRS means a non-members combat skill. It can be trained by several ways including by burying bones, using them on an later in a player-owned house, by using them on the altar in the Chaos Temple or hut, by praying at the Ectofuntus with bonemeal and buckets of slime or by killing reanimated monsters which is summed through the Arceuus spellbook. Bones which are different will give different amounts of experience.
Prayers are able to be unlocked when the level in the skill goes yo which are used to help the player in combat. The prayers are able to help with Defence, Attack, Ranged, Strength, Hitpoints and Magic among other uses. When the player activates the prayers, the prayers will drain the prayer points of the player until the prayer is turned off or all prayer points are used.
Most prayers are able to be activated soon before the attack hits and promptly deactivated in order to get buffs and/or protection with minimal to no expenditure of prayer points. This thing is named prayer flicking.
Now, how to recharge points? As a player, you are able to recharge all of your prayer points to full. You can do that by praying at a later which is most often found in churches. If you pray at these altars, it will recharge the prayer points of the player above the maximum:
-
- The Altar of Nature in the Nature Grotto
- The Edgeville Monastery. It needs level 31 Prayer.
- Altars found within the God Wars Dungeon boss chambers.
If you drink super restores, prayer potions, sanfew serums and Zamorak brews, it will recharge prayer points proportional to your Prayer level. If you consume jangerberries, it will restore 1 prayer point each. The Falador shield can also be used to recharge a certain percentage of prayer points once or twice daily depending upon the tier of the shield.
