One of the most satisfying things that is loved by many is remodeling the poor interior design choices of the villagers in the game known as Animal Crossing New Horizons or ACNH in Happy Home Paradise DLC. For those who are not familiar with remodeling, it is the name of one of many features that was just added to Animal Crossing New Horizons or ACNH recently. By using this feature, you will be able to polish the furniture. Not only that, you will also be able to polish a whole squad of new island friends, which are 16 villagers.
While it gives joy, the remodeling bug has to be avoided as soon as possible. Why should the players like you avoid remodeling? If you are wondering about it, keep reading the post until the end in order to find the answer to the question.
The reason why the remodeling has to be avoided is that it can affect you. It was reported that a bug that showed up in the game has affected the players of Animal Crossing. This kind of bug apparently happens when remodeling the interiors of your villager while your airport gates are open. Before it affects you, try to avoid remodeling as soon as you can.
Once again, it seems like the issue is related to the complexities of multiplayer play when combined with remodeling. It is such a simple rule to not remodel in general when the airport is open. However, this error usually occurs when the homes of the villagers are remodeled.
What are the effects of remodeling? There are a few effects of remodeling, including:
-
- It is able to cause the game to freeze.
- It is able to prevent the changes from being saved.
- It is able to cause some other errors.
The developer of Animal Crossing called Nintendo is pretty much aware of the case. They addressed this error on their official Twitter account and shared the method how to fix it. Here are all the tweets shared by Nintendo UK on Nov 15, 2021:
#AnimalCrossingNewHorizons players who on the Happy Home Paradise CLD may experience gameplay bugs if they visit Resident Services and kas to remodel a resident’s home while the gates at their airport are open.
We recommend players to not attempt to remodel an island resident’s home while the gates at their airport are open. As long as the airport gates are closed, you should not encounter these gameplay bugs when remodeling resident’s homes on your island.
If you encounter these gameplay bugs, please end your play session, close the game and re-launch it, your save file will not be affected. A path to fix this issue will be released this month. we apologize for the inconvenience. For more info: bit.ly/3mUR3Kh.
According to the tweets above, in order to avoid getting the remodeling error or if you are encountering this, all that you have to do is to simply close the airport while you are remodeling. It is better for you to leave the gates shut before trying to remodel your home. For those who close and relaunch the game to start clean, there is nothing to worry as your save file will not be affected. From the statement given by Nintendo, it seems like the error or the bug may not be around forever. As confirmed by them, they are currently working on a patch to fix the problem that is scheduled to be released this month. While waiting for the patch, you will have to pay more attention to the multiplayer settings longer to be able to remodel your island to the content of your heart.
