Sometimes, we may make a mistake in putting the arrangements of words so that it produces a sentence in bad grammar. However, now you do not have to be worried about it anymore since now there is a grammar check online tool named Reverso. With it, you can check the grammar of your words easily.

Grammar Page in Reverso

On Reverso website, there is a Grammar page that you can access at https://grammar.reverso.net. On this page, you are able to read the theory of grammar so that you will be able to understand more about English Grammar or French Grammar. It will lead you to know how to make a good sentence and a good paragraph in a good grammar.

In the Grammar page of Reverso website, you can search the topics about grammar in the search bar which is available there. You just have to enter the theme or word of grammar and then click on the yellow Search button, and then you will be given the results of your search. For example, you want to know more about Verb in English grammar, you can enter ‘verb’ in the search bar and hit the search button. After that, you will be given the results about Verbs.

Under the search bar, there are a number of topics about English grammar and you can scroll down to find the topic that you need. The available topics are listed below.

Using Grammar Checker in Reverso

Does Reverso have a grammar checker? Well, besides having materials about grammar that is aimed to make users understand more about English Grammar or French Grammar, Reverso also has a grammar checker. You can use a grammar checker together with a spelling checker. So, when you use the checker, actually you will get double advantages where your text is checked not only the grammar,  but also the spelling.

If you want to use spelling and grammar checker in Reverso, you have to go to Reverso Speller. It can be accessed by clicking on the Spell Check menu.

On this page, there is a space for entering your text. There, you can type or paste the text that you have created. At the top right, there is a language option where you have to choose based on the language of the text that you enter. If you want to check the spelling and grammar of the text in English, you have to choose English in the language option.

It is important for you to know that the maximum number of characters in the space is 450. So, if you have longer  text, you can divide it. If you have entered the text there, now you can press the Check button. It will not take much time for checking the text. After several seconds, you will see the results of it.

If you find that there are some parts of the words are in different colors, then there must be something wrong with your word and you can correct it or it is the wrong word and has been corrected by the Reverso checker tool.  In the list below, you can know the meaning of each color.

  • If the word is blue with underline, it means that it is automatically corrected word with only one suggestion available.
  • If the word is grey with underline, it means that it is automatically corrected word with more suggestions available.
  • If the word is highlighted green with underline, it means that the word detected as wrong for which the tool has at least one suggestion. You can click on the word to activate the correction.
  • If the word is highlighted yellow, it means that the word is unknown for which there is no suggestion available.
  • If the word is highlighted grey, it means that the synonyms or style suggestions are available. You can click on the word to see details and apply the changes.
  • If the word is purple with underline, it means that it is the word after a suggestion choice from your side.

If you have entered the text on the space and then you click on the Check button, you will get the result. Under the space with your result, now there are some options including Edit button, Back button, Copy button and Check again button. You are able to use these buttons based on your need. If you want to edit the text, then you can click on the Edit button. If you want to go back to the previous condition of text, you can click on the Back button. If you want to copy the text, you can click on the Copy button. And, if you want to check the text again, you can click on the Check Again button.

After that, you can give your feedback by giving some stars under the space. If you are very satisfied with the tool, you can give 5 stars. If you feel that it is not perfect, then you may give less than 5 stars.

Even though this tool can check the spelling and grammar of your text automatically, it is better for you not to rely on the tool 100%. It is because there are some cases where there are mistakes which are skipped in order to limit the display of warnings or it happens when the suggested corrections are not perfectly adapted to the context. So, make sure you have to check the text by yourself after you check it in the Reverso checker tool.
