OSRS Marble Gargoyle Strategy

Compared to the other superior monsters, Marble gargoyles are different because two combat styles are used. The first one is melee and the second one is ranged. The standard attack of both of them can hit very high, even though they are not that accurate. Praying melee is recommended. It would be easier to kill everything with a ranged weapon as you are able to pray ranged and eliminate each damage, including the special attack. If you are interested in using this method, the range item that switches in your inventory has to be carried. Sometimes, a grey ball will be launched by the Marble Gargoyle in the combat towards the player. It will apparently cause up a maximum damage of 38 and knock down the player for a few seconds if the projectile (magic) hit it. When it happens, the player will be able to see a message box that states they have been trapped in the stone. It is actually possible to avoid this attack by moving at least one tile away from the original place once the projectile is launched.

Trivia:

In the past, the Marble Gargoyle was only known as the recolored gargoyle. The graphical update of it was received on February four years ago.  When it comes to the appearance, there was no much difference between it and the standard one. The only difference was the tail on its wings. There were also two wavy purple lines in the special attack that looked like the Magic attack of Monk of Zamorak. Both of them were not easy to see due to their small size.

Fortunately, there was something on November 1, 2017. The Marble Gargoyle got a more comprehensive graphical update, including the unique animations. It was part of the Old School Content Poll 55. Everything was changed, including the appearance of the binding projectile.
