What are the steps to set up your account on Fidelity NetBenefits? You may need some information about it because you use the Fidelity NetBenefits program. I have tried to find some information about it, and here are the things that I found.
The Steps to Register for Access to Your Account on Fidelity NetBenefits
You may have previously registered with Fidelity.com, NetBenefits, or eWorkplace. If you have registered, then you are not required to register again. You are able to use your existing username and password to be able to access your new account. However, if you have not registered yet, the steps below can be used by you to help you set up your workplace savings account on NetBenefits.
For new user registration, you have to verify your identity by following the steps below.
-
- You must insert the last 4 digits of your Social Security number.
- You also have to enter your first name, last name and date of birth.
- Then, you must choose the Next button.
After following the steps above, then you have to set up your username. It is recommended for you to create a unique username. The standards of creating username on Fidelity NetBenefits are listed below.
-
- It is recommended for you to use 6 to 15 letters and/ or numbers.
- If the length of your username is between 9 to 11 characters, you have to make sure that it has at least two letters.
- Don’t use one whole piece of personally identifiable information such as your Social Security number, telephone number or date of birth. Instead, you have to alter or disguise it.
- You have to make sure that you do not use 5 or more instances of a single number or letter or easily recognized sequences.
- You also have to make sure that you do not use symbols, spaces or punctuation marks.
The next thing that you have to do after creating a username is to create a password. Here are the standards of creating passwords in Fidelity NetBenefits.
-

Usually, a strong password has a mix of case sensitivity, letters, numbers and special characters. You have to make sure that when you create a password, you should not use personally identifiable information such as your telephone number, date of birth or Social Security number.
Next thing that you have to do is to create a security question. Let’s say that you forget your password. So, you are able to reset it if Fidelity has verified your identity by using your new or updated security question and answer. The standards of security answers are listed below.
-
- You have to make sure that the answers must be between 3 to 31 characters.
- You have to choose a question that you are able to answer easily.
- It is important to note that answers are not case sensitive.
Then, you have to provide your phone number and email address. Fidelity will use the contact information that you give to send you important communications about your benefits and also timely service-related and legal notifications and those include messages about educational and new service offerings. It is important for you to note that you must be sure that this information is used only to communicate with you about your benefits with Fidelity.
