How to Customize Xbox Game Bar (Keyboard Shortcuts) on Windows 10

Game Bar is a program which allows you to be able to capture screenshots or record any game that you are playing on your Xbox or PC.   • To be able to create a customized keyboard shortcut for an action, you have to tap or click in the shortcut field that you want to change. You have to press the Ctrl, Alt or Shift key and at least one other key that you want to use.

Default Keyboard Shortcuts for Game Bar

Before you customize the keyboard shortcuts, actually it has default keyboard shortcuts for the Game bar and those are listed below.

  • If you want to open the game bar, you have to press the Windows logo key + G key.
  • If you want to take a screenshot of your game, you have to press Windows logo key + Alt + PrintScreen key.
  • If you want to record the last few moments of gameplay, you have to press Windows logo key + Alt + G key. You are also able to change the duration of time recorded in Windows Settings and then go to Gaming and choose Capture.
  • If you want to start or stop recording, you have to press the Windows logo key + Alt + R key.
  • If you want to start or stop microphone recording, you have to press the Windows logo key + Alt + M key.
  • If you want to jump between open widgets, you have to press Ctrl + Tab.
  • If you want to navigate within a widget, you have to press Tab.

How to Add Favorites to Home

You may also want to add favorites to Home, but you do not know how to do that. If you want to do it, here are the steps that you are able to apply.

  • First, you have to press the Windows logo key + G key so that it will open the Game Bar. After that, you have to choose the Widget menu.
  • Now, from the Widget menu, you have to select a Favorite which is represented by the star icon or multiple favorites.
  • Then, you will see that your favorites will appear on the Home bar so that you can access them quickly.

How to Move, Resize, and Pin Widgets

If you want to move a widget, you are able to click and drag it to a position that you want on your screen. Then, if you want to resize a widget, you have to do that by clicking and dragging up or down from its bottom edge.

Now, how to pin a widget? If you want to pin a widget, the first thing that you have to do is to press Windows logo key + G so that it will open the Game bar. Next, you have to choose the Widget menu and then select a widget. After that, you have to choose the Pin icon which can be found in the upper right corner of the widget. If you want to unpin it, you can choose it again. It is important for you to know that if you pin a widget, it means that it will always show on your screen over any game or app even when Game bar is dismissed.
