Do you want to play Toy Day Event in Animal Crossing: New Horizon? If so, you need to know how long this event will last. Here, we will give you some explanation about it and also about how to do some tasks in this event.
How Long Toy Day Lasts
Toy Day is an event in Animal Crossing: New Horizon. Actually, this event appears in every Animal Crossing series except in Wild World. This Toy Day Event takes place from 6:00 am to 5:00 am on December 24th, 2020. So, this event lasts almost 24 hours. If you want to join this event, you have to make sure that you can do it in the time that we have mentioned so that you will be able to get the rewards.
If you want to join this event, it is also important for you to know that as of the v1.6.0 update, all new holiday events are time locked. What does it mean? It means that you are not allowed to time travel to these events if they are not set to occur yet.
Some Preparation For Playing Toy Day Event
Before you go to the Toy Day Event, there are some things that you have to prepare. What are they? The first thing that you have to prepare is that you have to accumulate toys from Nook’s Cranny. Nook’s Cranny will begin to sell the toys on the blue mat to the left of the door. It will take place starting with the 1st of December. You may want to have as many toys as you have villagers.
In case there are the full amount of villagers on your island, it will take 10 days. It is because the toys rotate daily. But, if you do not make it as a problem, you are able to buy 10 of the same toy on the same day.
Is there anything else that we need to prepare for playing Toy Day? You need ornaments. In the game, you will have to shake the Pine Trees and that grow in the upper levels of your island. Then, when you shake the trees, they will drop the ornaments consisting of red, blue and gold ornaments. When you have to shake the Pine Trees for getting dropped ornaments, you have to make sure that you shake the decorated pine trees. It is because only decorated pine trees will drop ornaments. Meanwhile, the other trees or even pine trees which are not decorated will not drop anything.
Actually, getting ornaments is not something that you strictly must do before you join the Toy Day. However, it is something that you may be able to do if you have only begun the game.
Getting The Santa Outfit
In the game, there is a shop named Able Sisters. What is Able Sisters? It is a clothing shop or tailor shop that you can find in the Animal Crossing series. It is one of the main stores in the game. Sable and Mable which are Able Sisters own and run this shop. For your information, in all of the Animal Crossing games except for New Leaf, the store is like a small cottage. It has an attic space or side room which may be the living area of the sisters. There is also an emerald green roof with blue featured window with white shutters. There is also a large white door for the entrance with the Able Sisters sign directly above it.
Beginning from December 1st, 2020, you will see that there are some festive clothing options that you can find at Able Sisters. Those are a Santa outfit, a Festive Dress and a Reindeer Costume. These clothing items appear randomly and it happens like this until Toy Day. Then, on Toy Day, the costumes will be in stock at the store. For your information, if you want to get the Santa outfit, it does not include boots. So, you must improvise with others.
Finding Jingle on Toy Day
The Toy Day celebration starts on December 24th, 2020 at 6 PM. It happens when you find Jingle which is a Reindeer in the Event Plaza. It is located in front of Resident Services. Event Plaza is a location which you can find not only in Animal Crossing New Horizon, but also Animal Crossing New Leaf. It serves as a communal hub of the town. During certain events and holiday and random visits, you are able to find special characters in this Plaza.
In the Animal Crossing New Horizon, The Plaza can be found in front of Resident Services which appears initially as a dirt area with a wooden boundary. Then, as a part of the upgrade of Resident Services from a tent to a building, the Plaza is upgraded to a brick design.
How about Resident Services? It is the main hub for the development of the island in Animal Crossing New Horizon. Also, it is the equivalent of the Town Hall in previous games. This area starts as a small tent in a cleared area but then when the island grows, it is upgraded to a permanent building with a paved plaza.
Getting Jingle’s Photo
One of the tasks that you have to fulfill in the game is to get Jingle’s Photo. How to do that? Jingle’s Photo is a special item and you can get it by helping out Jingle with the Festive Wrapping Paper. After that, Jingle will give you Toy Day Stockings and the thing that you have to do is to hang them up inside your house. After you hang up the stockings, there will be Jingle’s Photo in it the next day.
