Halo Infinite Forge and Split Screen Co-Op

343 announced that Halo Infinite will not have campaign co-op or Forge mode at launch. The team of Halo Infinite talked about delaying the game again instead of shipping the game without those two famous features, but decided against it, and they are pushing forward with the December 8th release.

Recently, in a developer update, Joseph said that campaign co-op and Forge mode required more polishing time. They are due to release along with the seasonal roadmap sometime in the year of 2022. 343 industry plans to launch campaign co-op 3 months after the December 8th release date and force 6 months after the game’s release.

Unfortunately, when they focused the team for shutdown, and really focused on a quality experience for launch, they made the really hard decision to delay shipping campaign co-op for launch. And they also made the hard call to delay shipping Forge mode past launch. The number one priority is making sure that whatever they ship and whenever they ship it, it is going to meet the right quality bar, and also across all platforms: Xbox, PC, and all its different configurations. When they view those two experiences; campaign co-op and Forge mode, they made the stipulation they are just not ready.
