Where to Get the Talent Books?
If you want to level up your talent, you need to search for the materials. So, how to get the Talent Level Up Materials? You have to run specific dungeons to farm them. There are two dungeons that can be found in the world map. These places will generate talent level-up materials when completed. However, both of these places have a schedule that rotates the reward and only has them for specific days.
You are able to farm books every day and you can do that by completing Forsaken Rift and also the Domain of Mastery in Mondstadt or completing Taishan Mansion and also the Domain of Mastery in Liyue. However, it depends on the day you will get. You can see the book that you can get each day in the list below.

How to Level Up Talents
If you want to level up talents, there are some steps that you have to follow. If you do not know the steps that you have to go through, we provide it below for you to follow.
- The first thing that you have to do is to go to your characters tab.
- After that, you need to click on the talents option.
- Next, the thing that you have to do is to choose the talent that you want to level up.
- And now, you have to select the Level Up option which can be found at the bottom of the menu.
If you want to level up the talent of your character in Genshin Impact, it can be locked out until you can get them to at least Ascension Level 2 first. It means that you have to get them to level 40 and then ascend them. Each talent needs materials to be able to level up. It is the same with ascending your characters. There are materials that you need to level up but it depends on the element and progress of your character.

Talent Level-Up Materials are materials that are utilized together with Common Ascension Materials. They are used to be able to level up the talents of a character. You are able to craft higher rarity materials with Alchemy and you are able to do that by combining lower rarity materials of the similar type. You can see the example below.
- You are able to combine x3 Teachings of Freedom to create x1 Guide to Freedom.
- You are able to combine x3 Guide to Freedom to create x1 Philosophies of Freedom.
As quoted from Genshin Impact wiki, if you have Xingqiu, you are able to use him when crafting higher level talent level-up materials for a 25% chance to not consume a portion of the materials that are used.
