Genshin 2.2 Dev Notes (Patch)

Genshin Impact always comes with something new. The 2.2 update is the next one. According to Kokomi’s Banner’s end date, Version 2.2 is scheduled to be out around the second week of this month. The exact data used to be a mystery but it has been announced at the end of the stream that it is going to be on October 13, 2021.

The new update means a few things come out with it. You will be able to find everything below.

Characters

For the characters, the ones that will come out with this update include:

1. 1. Thoma
      
      Thoma is known as a housekeeper of Kamisato Clan and he has appeared in the Archon quest of Inazuma. In the Genshin Impact 2.2, the character will turn into a playable character. He will be available as part of the second banner Moment of Bloom of the version 2.2. If the banner is released according to the schedule, it is possible for it to be released around November 3, 2021.
   2. Tartaglia
      
      Tartaglia, who is also known as Childe, is known as the 11th harbinger of the Fatiu. He will be available in this new release banner named Farewell to Snezhnaya on October 13, 2021. There is no information about the four stars who accompany him. The sure thing is that it is the best time for you to get him if you are eyeing for a five star Hydro character.
   3. Hu Tao
      
      Hu Tao is a director of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. She is a Pyro character that wields polearm. Just like Thoma, she will appear in the Moment of Bloom banner. However, it is still unknown about the other two four stars that will be on the banner.
   4. Aloy
      
      Alloy is the character that has been launched on the PlayStation and she will be available in Genshin Impact 2.2 on PC for free. Everyone has a chance to claim this character from the in game mailbox when the new version drops. To make it possible, a minimum of adventure rank 20 is needed. In addition to getting Aloy, the players are also able to get her four star bow.

Weapons

For the weapons, Polar Star, Wavebreaker’s Fin, Akuoumaru, and Mouun’s Moon are the ones that are included in the list to be released.

Enemies

There will be a new monster type in this Genshin Impact 2.2. It is Rifthound Whelp and the variants of it that resemble spectral wolves or the re animated wolf puppets. All of them fit the theme of Tsurumi Island. The Rifthounds are dangerous as they have an ability to be invisible during the battle. Firstly, they will stalk you and then they will do a huge amount of damage.

Map

For the new regions, the one that will be released is related to something dark, which is perfect for the Halloween theme. The name of the new region is Tsurumi. It is described as a spooky and fog shrouded island. This one is the final island region included in Inazuma nation yet to be added to the game. According to the report, it will serve as the location for the main event of Genshin Impact 2.2 called Labyrinth Warriors. This map will take the players to the Spiral Abyss esque dungeon. Two characters named Xinyan and Tartaglia will be involved. Actually, there is not much thing known about Tsurumi with the exception of the rumor that it will have a new type of treasure chest for furnishing blueprints named the Remarkable Chest and it will be used by the Rifthound Whelp monsters as a home.

Banners

There are three banners featured in Genshin Impact 2.2, as follows:

1. 1. Farewell of Snezhnaya
   2. Moment of Bloom
   3. Epitome Invocation

Quests

The new 2.2 update will come with two quests, which are Thoma’s Hangout and Sayu’s Hangout.

Events

There are several events in the Genshin Impact 2.2, such as:

1. 1. Labyrinth Warriors

Labyrinth Warriors is the main event in Genshin Impact 2.2. The players will be fighting through a five floor multi roomed dungeon called the Mystic Onmyou Chamber, along with the paper Samurai named Shiki-Taishou. Just like the Spiral Abyss, it will be needed for you to choose two teams, consisting of one primary and one support, and Shikifunda, which will be the floor based buffs just like you would select in the Spiral Abyss. As a player, you will have to beat the random monsters that are found in every room to get your currency that can be used to improve Shiki Taishou. You can also get better Shikifuda or claim rewards from the event shop. In addition, you also have a chance to get a four star Pyro character that wields a claymore named Xinyan as part of the event. She is apparently involved in the story of the labyrinth.

1. 2. Shadow of the Ancients

This one is about beating a regenerating version of the boss enemy called Anomalous Ruin Graders. In order to do that, the first thing that you have to do is to find the materials to repair Pursina Spikes by using a prospecting device. Next, charge those spikes with Electro while getting attacked. Besides, it is also needed for you to do that again while you are dealing with the Anomalous Ruin Grader to avoid it from repairing itself. Shadow of the Ancients is like a boss fight while spinning plates. It looks like dealing with the status effects from the La Signora fight.

1. 3. Dreams of Bloom

This one is a Flower Gardening Event in the upcoming update. It will be released on October 13, 2021. It is where you plant special seeds in the Serenitea Pot to get rewards.

1. 4. Turned to the World’s Sounds

This event is about the Windchase Festival’s Lyre based rhythm game. It gives the players a Floral Zither.
