Creating School in Animal Crossing New Horizons
If you want to unlock school, you need to complete 6 vacation homes. According to the IGN website, after your third vacation home, there will be Lottie who will be standing outside the building beside the office, to the left. It is an empty facility and Lottie will say that she wants to start working on it soon. If you have decorated your fourth vacation home, you will be informed by Lottie that she has the permit to turn it into a school.
To create a school, you will have to decorate the exterior including the door, the roof, siding and bell color. If you have decorated the outside, then you need to move inside with Lottie. You will be informed by Lottie that the space is too small and will unlock the ability to adjust the size of the room.
How to do that? To enter decorating mode, you need to press the down button on the left Joy-Con. If you want to adjust the size of the room, you have to press the left button on the left Joy-Con. With this mode, you are also able to adjust the number of windows in the room and also the entryway flooring.
When the decorating mode and the furniture catalog are opened, there will be a pop-up window. It will inform you that a certain number of key furniture items will have to be placed. Here, the thing that you have to do is to press the Next button so that you can view your first facility’s furniture requirements.
You Have to Choose Staff and Take a Picture
If you have decorated the school, then you will be asked by Lottie to name the school. So, you can get the ideas from the list above or you can use name generators for finding the suitable name for your school. In addition, you will also be required to choose a villager to be the teacher of the school. After these tasks have been completed, then you have to take a picture for the Happy Home Network. After that, you need to move outside to take a final outdoor picture to celebrate.
Happy Home Paradise Facilities
School is one of the Happy Home Paradise Facilities. In addition to school, there are also restaurant, cafe, hospital and apparel shop. As explained earlier, you are able to unlock school if you complete 6 vacation homes. School is the first facility that you are able to establish.
Restaurant can be unlocked if you complete 12 vacation homes. Here, you can dine in at the local restaurant and learn new cooking recipes from the head chef.
Cafe can be unlocked if you complete 12 vacation homes. You can go to the cafe and order delicious food and drinks. Even, you can find some new food on the way.
Hospital can be unlocked if you complete 25 vacation homes. If you do not feel good, you can go to the hospital for a check up.
Apparel shop can be unlocked if you complete 30 vacation homes. At the apparel shop, you can get the newest fashion trends.
